Sun Requirements

Full sun, with some afternoon shade in hot summer climates. Make sure it gets full sun direct almost 6-7 hrs a day. Most passion flowers repeat bloom from mid summer until fall

Passion flower can definitely grow from from seed or cuttings from a friend, But I suggest if there is no friend to get it from, purchase plants from a local nursery. Buying from local nursery proves that the plant is already accustomed with your local weather

Soil Requirement

Plant passion flowers in spring on fertile, well-drained soil. Keep the soil moist with mulch. The mulch also can protect the roots in winter in cold areas.

Fertilization-

Passion flower is a heavy feeder , compost or cow dung every month. Avoid fertilizing in winters

Water

Passion flower/ Krishna kamal needs quite a lot of water. Water as soon as the top soil is dry
Like many flowering vines, if you don’t provide passion flower vines with enough water, they will wilt as will the leaves. Water your passion flowers if the soil is dry approximately 2 to 3 inches beneath the soil.

Infestation- bugs are rare but ants are very common to plant but are harmless unless they bring in bugs. Control aphids, white flies and spider mites with sprays of insecticidal soap whenever you see damage. Clean up dropped leaves in fall to reduce fungal diseases on the flowers and foliage.
